Differences with NewPipe
NewPipe is an application that allows local extraction on your phone, with requests sent directly to YouTube/Google via the network you're connected to, without a middleman server. However, Google can access information like the user's IP address and subscriptions can only be stored locally. Alternatively, LibreTube uses Piped to proxy all requests, preventing Google from accessing your IP address or personal data. Additionally, Piped enables syncing of subscriptions between LibreTube and itself, and it can be used on a desktop.
