Remote Wallpaper Android Application
Remote Wallpaper Android is an open-source Android app that sets your wallpaper from a remote URL and refreshes it automatically on a schedule. It works with any direct image link, as well as links that redirect to a random image, so you can point it at a photo API, your own image host, or any endpoint that serves pictures.
Requires Android 8 (API 26) or newer. Installed as an APK outside the Play Store, so you'll need to allow installs from unknown sources. Licensed under GPL-3.0.

- Home screen widget with a manual refresh button and last-updated time
- History of every wallpaper that has been applied, with the source link for each
- Optional cropping to fit the device screen
- HTTP caching support to avoid re-downloading unchanged images
- Optional crash reporting that can be toggled off in settings — sends only a stack trace, device model, OS version and a short log extract, with no usage tracking or device identifier

Known limitations
- Wallpaper cropping doesn't always produce the expected result
- Updates run on intervals only — you can't schedule them for specific times of day
