Andropolis Application
Build and run a city. Zone land for homes, shops and industry, connect it with roads, rail and power, balance the budget, and keep your citizens happy — while fires, floods, tornadoes and the occasional monster try to spoil your plans. Andropolis is an open-source Android port of Micropolis, the GPL release of the original SimCity city simulator by Will Wright. It uses the MicropolisCore engine: the original simulation code, in C++, unchanged. Features- The full classic simulation: zones, traffic, pollution, crime, land value, budget, evaluation
- The 8 original scenarios (Dullsville, San Francisco, Hamburg, Bern, Tokyo, Detroit, Boston, Rio) and 23 sample cities
- New maps with terrain choices: trees, lakes, rivers, islands
- Touch controls: drag roads and power lines, place buildings with a preview, per-build undo
- Overlays, graphs, messages, the citizens' opinion poll and the annual report
- Optional background play: the city keeps going while the app is closed, at a pace you choose, and notifies you when something happens
- Saves are plain files you can copy and share
- No ads, no tracking, no network access
